HOW IT WORKS
Charge with solar: As your SunPower Equinox® system generates energy, it sends the electricity you’re not using to your SunVault® Storage battery system and then sends excess power back to the grid for which your utility will credit you.*
Keep power on: When the grid goes down, SunVault® Storage can provide seamless backup to power your essential appliances, such as keeping the lights on or running your refrigerator.
Manage your energy usage more smartly: Intelligent software monitors your solar production, home energy use, and utility rates to determine which power source to use, maximizing your solar and reducing peak-time charges to save you more money.
Programmed to store power when energy rates are lower and to use stored energy when rates are higher.
Ensure power in the event of a grid outage.
Store surplus solar energy during the day when the sun isn’t shining.
SunVault® storage is comprised of two boxes (or more with whole home backup), the SunVault® Battery and Hub+™ (the brains behind the system). Additionally, all customers receive access to SunPower’s mobile app to view their performance and manage system settings.
SunPower provides a 10-year warranty for SunVault® Storage as part of the Complete Confidence Warranty—the same warranty that covers your SunPower® solar system.
