+ Crew Lead Installer - Colorado Springs, CO Denver, CO

We are looking for a Crew Lead Installer to join our team of solar installers. The Crew Lead responsible for overseeing a team of solar installers who are responsible for installing solar systems from 1kW – 30kW. The Crew Lead will clearly communicate starts times for jobs and perform any necessary work on site.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attends safety meetings daily, before any work if performed on site.

  • Installs racking system per manufacture’s specifications and Freedom Solar plans on different roof types.

  • Installs DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes

    Commissions PV systems safely

    Tests system components while the system is operational. Report all findings/issues to the Project Manager

    Assists in system designs and procurement for residential systems

  • Work with city and utility officials to constantly improve design and install methods

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager (ROM)

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid Apprentice Electrical License required

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Valid OSHA 10 required; (OSHA 30 preferred)

  • Residential solar installation experience recommended

  • Electrical experience strongly recommended

  • Prior experience as a crew lead strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of local electrical codes

  • Knowledge of residential PV design and components

  • Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions

  • Ability to make field changes and communicate with Project Manager

  • Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC

  • Ability to receive and distribute instructions

  • Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager

  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

  • Ability to bend, stretch, squat and lift.

  • Ability to work in 100+ degree weather

Schedule: M-F, weekend and OT may be required.

Pay Range: Average installers makes $1,500+ per week. (Between $52K and $78K per year) Additional Compensation: Module Bonuses
