These Austin-area companies are growing like wildfire despite tough economic conditions over the past several years. They offer huge opportunities for service providers such as real estate brokers, recruiters and accounting firms — not to mention job seekers.
The awards were open to all companies based in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, Bastrop and Burnet counties with at least $500,000 in net revenue. All submissions were reviewed by accounting firm Maxwell Locke & Ritter.
Freedom Solar Power was honored to be named #3 in the category of Companies With More Than $10M in Revenue. This is the third year in a row Freedom Solar has been a Fast 50 award recipient.

What it does: Freedom Solar is the leader in turnkey solar installations in Texas, providing high-quality, cost-effective, reliable solar solutions for the residential and commercial markets.
An example illustrating company culture: Throughout the year, we host company-wide employee appreciation events to reward our staff members for their hard work and contributions, and to strengthen personal bonds with them and their families. Some of these include our annual Crawfish Boil in Austin, periodic potluck-style barbeque lunches during work hours with an employee volunteer serving as pit master, and our first ever Freedom Fest summer celebration with live music and games in Denver, Colorado.
What may be your biggest challenges over the next 12 months? Maintaining our company’s culture during rapid growth. We recognize that rapid growth could make it difficult to maintain our company culture and core values. We believe we can address those pitfalls by continuing to hire carefully, ensuring our new hires are not merely qualified, but a good fit for their positions and for interacting with the other members of the team.
