Solar Block Party FAQ
How do I invite people to my block party?
We will create a custom event Evite for you (a digital invitation that allows people to RSVP online). You will be added as a co-host to theEvite. From here, you can send the link via text or email to whoever you would like as well as track who has RSVPd.
How do I record attendance to meet the requirement for the hosting bonus.
Freedom will provide a QR code for attendees to input their contact information, which is tied to your Get The Referral account will be counted towards your $1,500 referral potential if they go solar. These QR codes will be on banners displayed around the footprint of the solar block party. We will also provide a paper sign-up sheet for this in case phone signal is poor.
What if I can’t get 10 people from different households to attend?
That’s ok! Freedom Solar will still order food/drinks for the party and we will still pay you $1,500 for every person who purchases and installs solar with Freedom Solar.
Can I provide my own food if I don’t want the other menu options available?
Absolutely. We will reimburse you up to $300. Please provide a receipt post-event, and we will mail you a check or submit payment through your Get The Referral virtual wallet.
Do I need to provide chairs or tables?
You can request chairs and tables when confirming your event. We provide up to 10 chairs and two tables.
I’m interested but unsure where I could host a solar block party?
We have seen many homeowners use their front or back yard, some prefer their home because of the summer heat and others are using their community centers. We are open to your ideas, but these places are typically the most used for solar block parties.
How long is a solar block party?
We recommend two hours.
What happens on the day of the block party?
Your Energy Consultant will arrive about an hour before the event to set up. They will set up tables, chairs, food and beverages. When guests begin arriving, the Consultant will greet them and tell them about the event and answer any questions they have about solar. All you have to do is mingle with your invitees and enjoy the company – we will handle the education about solar!
What if one of my invitees can’t make it but is still interested in solar?
If they’re interested and we are able to get in contact with them we will count them as an attendee! You will need to provide their contact information to do so.
