+ Service Operations Manager - Austin, TX

The Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing services operations, maintenance, and repairs. This role will handle a high level of customer relationships as well as manage the service team members. The Service Manager will also provide expertise in creating department processes and procedures to streamline customer support, vendor and inventory management, and intra-department communications regarding service Work Orders.

We are looking for a detailed-oriented, creative, and visionary individual. The Service Manager should possess a proven track record of creating and implementing processes and procedures in increasing the overall proficiency of the service department. This individual must have exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Job Duties:

  • Oversees the workflow of maintenance and work order creation

  • Schedules and dispatches Field Service Technicians for service calls.

  • Acts as the services department point of contact for customer complaints/concerns

  • Provides customers with product information, product availability, and estimated time of service

  • Manages backlog of service calls, order list, production monitor and reporting

  • Implementing strategies in efforts of reducing cost and growing vertically integrated offerings

  • Consistently provide excellent customer service experience by offering knowledge advice and answering questions, concerns

  • Manages all services employees including hiring, termination, and training.

  • Troubleshoots issues related to solar panels via phone and/or site visits

  • Distributes customer proposals

  • Tracks services invoices and submits payments to Accounting

  • Processes new order and track inventory.

  • Manages metrics related to services calls, inventory, customer satisfaction, etc.

  • Communicates and maintains good relations with manufacturing representative and dealers

  • Obtains bids from vendors and sub-contractors and schedules sub-contracts as needed

  • Maintains communication with the Warehouse and Procurement departments to ensure stocked products/inventory.

  • Assists other departments as directed and other duties and tasks as assigned by Chief Operation Officer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Project Management, Business, or related field

  • 2+ years of Operations or Service Management experience required

  • Experience in solar/renewable energy strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience in Excel and inventory tracking software required

  • Leadership and team-building skills

  • Must be highly organized and process-oriented

  • Possess strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

  • Excellent customer service skills required

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and can travel
