+ HR Recruiter

Freedom Solar is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic HR Recruiter to manage our full cycle recruitment, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates. Job Purpose: The HR Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing candidates, updating job ads, conducting background checks and onboarding employees. If you have experience with various job interview formats and can help us recruit faster and more effectively, we’d like to meet you. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee recruitment, application tracking, and onboarding. This role may also have general administrative tasks associated with it, including but not limited to safety compliance documentation, employee training, payroll assistance, and other HR tasks. Reports to Chief Administrative Officer.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Advertises job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally
  • Sources potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms)
  • Works closely with hiring managers to design and update job descriptions
  • Creates recruiting emails to attract candidates
  • Fully manages new hire process from offer to onboarding
  • Interviews by phone, video and coordinates in-person interviews
  • Provides shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Owns the candidate experience, ensuring timely communication throughout the interview process
  • Maintains center-wide job descriptions
  • Continually thinks of ways to improve recruitment efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborates with managers to identify future hiring needs
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Completes special projects as assigned by Management
  • Provides administrative support to upper management

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • 2-4 years of proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Experience with sourcing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a confidential environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Documents
  • General understanding of all HR areas including employment laws, compensation, benefits, workers compensation, training and employee relations

Education and Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in recruitment required
  • 2-4 years as an HR Generalist required
  • B.S. or B.A. in Human Resources or related field preferred
