+ Canvassing Manager - Houston, TX

Are you a results-oriented and energetic leader who wants to help us lead the solar revolution in Texas? We are looking for an experienced Canvassing Manager who can implement a successful solar door to door program from the ground up and expand it statewide. The person in this role will play a key role in helping us achieve and maintain #1 market share while preserving our company’s impeccable reputation for quality and service. With the support and guidance of marketing and sales leadership, you will create the program, build your team, and grow as you meet sales targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build a winning canvassing model that can grow regionally
  • Train and develop canvassers as a career path to team leadership or sales
  • Hire, train, motivate, coach, and hold team accountable to exceeding goals
  • Lead a team of door to door canvassers who will educate homeowners about solar, prequalify leads, and schedule high-quality appointments for our salespeople
  • Meet weekly lead generation targets by setting locations and hours to knock each week, securing permits, staffing shifts, transporting canvassers to neighborhoods, providing ongoing training and feedback to team, and creating a culture of positivity, passion, and accountability
  • Utilize technology to measure and improve performance
  • Provide regular updates to marketing and sales leadership
  • Maintain strong relationships with the sales and operations teams to coordinate canvassing activities around installations and appointments, and to obtain sales feedback on quality of appointments set


  • You must be ready to go on day one, have tireless energy, be able and willing to anticipate and solve problems, and have a passion for growing solar in Texas
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done and meet or exceed your targets while demonstrating a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Stellar communications and organizational skills
  • Past door to door sales manager experience required; solar industry experience strongly preferred
  • Work hours include evenings and Saturdays
  • Safe driving record
  • Some statewide travel will be expected after program expands into new markets
  • Experience with Sales Rabbit and HubSpot a plus
  • BA/BS preferred
