God our solar panels installed and had a small issue. They were quick to send someone out and remedy the problem. Adrian and Harold were very professional and went above and beyond! Definitely recommend.

We were fortunate to meet with consultant like Jason Wilkey. He was very professional and gave a detail run-down of the company, answered all out questions and was able to provide us with multiple options in a very simple language, which made us easy to understand it. Among the many questions we asked, what we like most about is how honest he was, when we asked about the inclusion of batter with the solar battery. He started with few questions like –“how often does the power go out?” When was the last time power went out?” Since we had minimal problem, he recommended not to get it unless we absolutely need it as it is very expensive. Besides, he did not rush us to get an answer and gave us time to respond, which we really appreciate. Thank you, Jason, for giving us the detail information and answering our all questions. Overall outstanding work from start to end! From the time I spoke with solar subject matter expert Tony who provided me the details about solar panels and comparison to other brands, there was no pressure to buy but focused on answering all my questions about solar power. When I decided to move forward with installing Freedom Solar Power panels, the whole team of experts moved quickly with the process to get my system ultimately on-line. The first part was to getting pictures and a video of my roof so ensure the best location for maximum sun exposure which was completed a week after signing the contract. Then a few days later, the designer sent drawings and called me to verify if the location of the solar panels and Tesla powerwall are acceptable which I agreed. They then sent me the documents to send to my HOA and in about a week I received the HOA approval for install. I sent this to Freedom Solar and a few days later they called me to schedule the installation of the solar panels, Tesla powerwall, and all the electrical connections to the power grid which was completed week later. Every step was executed according to what Tony had presented me and much to my surprise and excitement the whole process was completed way ahead of schedule! Tony had mentioned that the start to completion where the system is fully operational and connected to the electric grid could be 4 to 6 months because of many variables such as; weather, HOA approval, inspection by city/county for electrical installation, approval by electrical company to allow solar system on the grid, etc. But like I stated, everything went pretty smooth with minor installation hickups but Freedom Solar took care of all the issues timely! From start to finish, my Freedom Solar system was up, producing electricity, and on the grid all in 3 months! I will say that this may not be the case for other previous installations and even for future installations. I just want to point out in this review how pleased I am with Freedom Solar Power's professionalism and customer service to make the installation of the solar system move through the process as quick as possible and begin saving you money on your electric bill! I highly recommend Freedom Solar Power for their proven solar product, installation process, and their excellent customer service! I chose Sunpower due to the high quality panels and individual inverters, plus the “1 call” service and system guarantee. Freedom Solar, as Sunpower’s rep for TX , has been a positive experience. Shane was my sales rep and project /customer coordinator. He was great to work with, conscientious and communicated with me in a timely manner. I had multiple project questions, design revisions and Shane handled them all professionally and courteously. He has continued to answer my questions in the months after install.The project was completed as specified, on budget and ahead of schedule. The install crew worked efficiently and were polite as well. Evan, the installing electrician, was particularly customer-focused and made sure to go above and beyond to complete the work in an aesthetically pleasing way.The install of 20 panels and a Tesla Powerwall was done a year ago and has worked very well since, meeting or exceeding specification estimates for output. I have enjoyed the Tesla and Sunpower apps to keep track of the system health and output and really appreciated Evan’s and Shane’s help in setting those up after the system was certified by my power company (that took an extra 20-30 days after the system was done).In all, a great experience with a professional team that can answer questions accurately and keep the communications honest, open, and timely as they give you a first-rate solar system. Tony Wertin was my initial contact wit Freedom and we purchased a system from them. Months later, I had a question about battery hookup and a smart panel and Tony jumped right into help out. I’d recommend Tony as a great contact for pursing solar.

We met with our representative (Gene) in April, after looking into several other companies. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions (we had a lot), and explained the advantages of their system over their competitors'. We took a couple days to run numbers on a few different scenarios and ensure we were making the best decision for our home. Along the way, Gene was available at all hours to answer additional questions via phone and text.For those shopping around, yes, Freedom Solar charged a bit of a premium versus other companies, but the peace of mind we got from the higher quality panels, microinverters, the warranty, and the production guarantee more than made up for it.We got all our permitting done relatively quickly, and had our system installed, approved by the city and Centerpoint, and generating exactly 2 months after our first meeting (which was honestly quicker than expected, but Freedom stayed on top of all the paperwork and permitting throughout the whole process, which helped move things along). The installers were all professional, and we appreciated the follow up after everything was up and running.Now, the panels are performing great, and I can say we had an excellent experience. Looking forward to seeing how well the system works through the summer!Note: do your research on the plans offered by REPs. They change occasionally, and the buyback rates vary, which can affect your payback period by a few years.

Unfortunately there was not enough space in my roof for solar panels to power a battery to keep my house running in times of emergencies or storm season, but Stephen was able to point me to the direction to get a portable generator to cover my family and I during storms in Texas. Brad Dette with Freedom Solar Power has been the best. I researched for a while and received quotes from their top 3 competitors and read countless reviews. When my husband and I compared everything on paper regarding components' quality, cost, performance, warranty, efficiency, customer service we thought we were sold with one of Freedoms competitors, then we met with Brad, he had a wealth of knowledge and was so much more detailed over the competitors that he had us sold before he walked out our door. We referred him to some of our friends and they also bought their solar through Brad. I can write a book about this person, it wasn't just his knowledge and honestly we discussed amongst our friends but his professionalism, he almost became like family! The Freedom / Sun customer service team contacted us throughout the process after signing as things progressed up to our installation and followed up after installation. It's been since February 2024 they installed and Brad and the Team are still readily available to help us with any questions we have. We will definitely continue to refer him to others as they wait to see how our solar is working because "We are the Guinea Pigs of our neighborhood". We’ve had a great experience! We felt very comfortable from the beginning, and got a better feeling from Freedom than other companies we talked to. The process has been super easy—they handle all the permits and approvals, including the HOA. Installation went faster than expected (thanks to the Solar Goats!) and their good relationship with Oncor made it even faster! Hello;My experience with power outages began with Hurricane Ike. We were without power for 13 days. I met my brother-in-law in Rayne, Louisiana to get generators, gas, and air conditioners. My brother-In-law worked for Exxon and he had 75 gallons of gas for us. Thanks to him, we made it through Ike.Later, I was still not receptive to Solar Energy, but I knew I had to take care of my family if we had another storm. Then, it snowed. My sister had no power, and the plumbing froze in her house here and in Canyon Lake. We were fortunate and only lost power for a short time. I still ran off the people wanting to show me Solar Power.One day, I shocked my wife by saying that we needed to learn about Solar Power. I knew from other friends how expensive running a whole house generator on propane was for them and due to our health issues, knew I had to do something. We have plenty of sunlight and no natural gas. Therefore, Solar Energy was by far our best option. I looked up companies and reviews and set up a few appointments. I read an article that said SunPower had the best solar panels. I called, and later, Sam Cochran of came to talk to us.Sam was on time, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Having a leaking roof can be such an agonizing issue especially when you have solar panels! You’re having to deal with two different entities, the solar panel techs and the roofers! Working with Joseph has been an absolute pleasure! He has been attentive and expeditious throughout the whole process. Due to the rain, we discovered that the former issue had not been completely resolved and had to call back to have the panel removed again, and Joseph was quick to have the techs out the very next day, which allowed the roofers to do their job the same day. The techs are also great guys! The overall experience has exceeded our expectations and we are very grateful.

The initial installation involves coordination with a number of entities and Jorge coordinated everything for me. He also has helped me after the sale - as recently as today - helping me get the MySunPower app showing production at the individual panel level.I chose Freedom Solar initially because they use SunPower panels which are very efficient. I was not happy with the original monitoring app, but it is much improved with the current version. Jorge is the man!

This review is for the installation crew of Freedom Solar "Solar Goats". The crew was on time, efficient, courteous and friendly. Very good communication from pre-appointment to post. They did an excellent job installating the panels without any hassle in 2.5-3 hrs. Apart from the drilling noise, you wouldn't even realize they are there. The installation was very clean with no piping visible on the roof. Freedom Solar does provide the best panels on the market available today and their track record is reassuring in a market that sees a lot of churn from the companies. I hope the solar production is on par with the high expectations - we shall see!

Freedom Solar's Sunpower panels are worth the extra money. The panels are highly efficient. Their installation processes are well honed and their team is experienced. They connected effectively with the local utilities company.With that said, their customer support staff can be overly reliant on their software, and not listen to the customer when there is a problem. Some of their customer support staff were amazing and some were infuriatingly resistant to understanding that an issue needed to be addressed.In the end, the installation went in within 9 months from the signing of the contract.

Our agent Philip is very patient to us. He's very thorough, detailed and knowledgeable. He provided us all the informations that we will be needing and he's always available if you have any questions or concerns. He's one of the reasons why we chose Freedom solar company over the other one that presented to us last time. Customer service is also very good and checks on us every now and then to see how it's going. We got our permit to operate in less than 2wks which is great. I was expecting it to be longer than that coz that's what others are saying. Overall we are happy with Freedom solar company and hoping that it will stay this way.

We had a system installed that covers 100% of our power needs. The planning and design was meticulous and the installation was fast and very neat. I've neighbors who used different installers. Their roofs and outside control walls are covered with exposed conduit that runs like spaghetti thrown up on the roof and walls where the power feed and controls are placed. Our roof has only panels visible as the conduit is run through the attic. Very neat and clean. The wall with the control boxes is also very neat. Wish you could see the differences! The designers and installers were so much better than what my neighbors received. Great job Freedom Solar!

He worked to EARN my business. I was impressed - and I've been a marketing director for many years. I've had an excellent experience working with Freedom Solar. They provided me with a quick estimate and have excellent performing equipment. We've had our system active for over a year and the performance has met our forecast. It's great to be in control of our own power generation!

So I recently had Freedom Solar have to unistall and then reinstall my panels due to getting my roof replaced from hail damage. The crew that uninstalled (don't remember their name), and the crew that just reinstalled my system today, the Solar Goats, were both fantastic to work with. The leads were helpful, cheery, and their work was excellent.However, I hope one doesn't need to schedule these services. The scheduling process was horribly difficult, zero communication, and that is after paying them up front for the work. Yes, you have to pay upfront before they will even schedule anything which is fine, BUT you pay then they take weeks to schedule, or to even let you know they have your money even though you can see it clear your account. I had to call everyone and anyone to work on getting a date and time because the scheduling team didn't take a one minute to send an email to let me know what was going on. I could write a book on how horrible the customer service is of the scheduling aspect, but the sales guy Spencer and the teams who come to your home are fantastic! They understand customer service.It is too bad this company doesn't seem to understand that a service department, just like a car dealership, is your FOREVER customer experience with your client. You can only sell the system once.I gave this review a 5 stars because the people who you actually work with are fantastic, but the people who are supposed to help set up these appointments are horrible. I have a dog in this fight to help get this piece better because I have the panels, and I am a FOREVER client who will most likely need help in the future. If I don't speak up then I may have to endure a horrible experience again. I have been in customer service at very high levels for over 30 years, so I know what it takes to make people happy. Sometimes that is giving people bad news because it is still better than no news. Ignoring people is the worst thing one can do.Thank you to Spencer for answering my call regarding service even though you are in sales and trying to help as much as you were able, and to the crews who came to my house with a smile and did a great job with the actual work.

Adding an expensive solar system is a big decision and preparing and installing the system is a big job! This is the first part of a multipart review of our experience with Freedom Solar Power of Houston. To start, our project manager Garrett has been a pleasure to work with. Garrett has been helpful, informative and professional. We look forward to progressing the project with his help. The electrician, Mark Cruz was super, Mark was prompt, tidy, patient and very professional. If the rest of the install goes as well, the second part of this review will be as glowing as this part. Stay tuned.Despite a small delay, Freedom Solar Power continues to deserve a 5 Star rating! The installation is complete, looks great and as soon as the city gives the thumbs-up, we are a little less grid dependent! Brad Dette with Freedom Solar Power has been the best. I researched for a while and received quotes from their top 3 competitors and read countless reviews. When my husband and I compared everything on paper regarding components' quality, cost, performance, warranty, efficiency, customer service we thought we were sold with one of Freedoms competitors, then we met with Brad, he had a wealth of knowledge and was so much more detailed over the competitors that he had us sold before he walked out our door. We referred him to some of our friends and they also bought their solar through Brad. I can write a book about this person, it wasn't just his knowledge and honestly we discussed amongst our friends but his professionalism, he almost became like family! The Freedom / Sun customer service team contacted us throughout the process after signing as things progressed up to our installation and followed up after installation. It's been since February 2024 they installed and Brad and the Team are still readily available to help us with any questions we have. Getting solar panels is one of the best purchases I've ever made, and Freedom Solar Power's customer service is absolutely top notch! When I had to have my entire roof replaced and the panels had to be removed during that work, the roofing company reinstalled them incorrectly (unfortunately). Am sorry I can’t remember their names but they were all extremely professional and thoroughly explained the benefits of going solar and entire install process. Every member of Freedom Solar that I had contact with were truly professional and went above and beyond to make sure the entire process went smoothly. I highly recommend Freedom Solar for anyone's Solar needs.Overall outstanding work from start to end! From the time I spoke with solar subject matter expert Renne who provided me the details about solar panels and comparison to other brands, there was no pressure to buy but focused on answering all my questions about solar power. When I decided to move forward with installing Freedom Solar Power panels, the whole team of experts moved quickly with the process to get my system ultimately on-line. The first part was to getting pictures and a video of my roof so ensure the best location for maximum sun exposure which was completed a week after signing the contract. Then a few days later, the designer sent drawings and called me to verify if the location of the solar panels are acceptable which I agreed. They then sent us the documents in about a week we received them. We agreed and sent this to Freedom Solar and a few days later they called me to schedule the installation of the solar panels, and all the electrical connections to the power grid which was completed week later. Every step was executed according to what Renne had presented me and much to my surprise and excitement the whole process was completed on schedule! Renne had mentioned that the start to completion where the system is fully operational and connected to the electric grid could be 4 to 6 months because of many variables such as; weather, inspection by city/county for electrical installation, approval by electrical company to allow solar system on the grid, etc. But like I stated, everything went pretty smooth with minor installation hiccups but Freedom Solar took care of all the issues timely! From start to finish, my Freedom Solar system was up, producing electricity, and on the grid all in 4-5 months!I just want to point out in this review how pleased I am with Freedom Solar Power's professionalism and customer service to make the installation of the solar system move through the process as quick as possible.Renne Rose was my energy consultant, and this was one of the best sales experiences that I could have expected. I had wonderful personal care from the consultant to the scheduler to the installation.My only “complaint” is not a reflection on Freedom, but their ability to get me independent from AEP depends on AEP inspections. It was about a 5 month process from the time contract was signed.

Freedom Solar has been great to work with. Gregg to such time in explaining everything to us. He provided spec sheets, and additional info on everything in our proposal. We have made a wise investment in reliable energy and have had a great team in our corner by selecting Freedom. Solar is a tough commitment, but seeing that every year our electric bill goes up yet our energy used is the same, sometimes the utility rates go up 2x in one year. Glad to finally be able to make this investment.

I have used Freedom Solar on three occasions.1) The initial installation of the panels.2) Adding more panels and Tesla batteries after adding a heat pump and getting an EV3) Removal and re-installation of the panels when my roof was replaced because of hail damage. Even though we had hail that was 2 1/2 - 3" in diameter, there was no damage to the panels.All three times went well. I was very pleased with Freedom Solar's work and installation of my system. The crews and technicians that did the work were friendly, professional, and showed up when scheduled.I am very happy with the performance of my solar system. I have a 2,700 sq ft. house with a pool and charging an EV. We chose Freedom Solar after looking at several other solar companies for our home. The main reasons for choosing Freedom Solar were, the company is completely in house with no subcontractors, Apple and Toyota are just a few major companies that also chose Freedom for their solar which was a no brainer for us. The first electric bill from our provider after the solar power was up and running for the month of May total $10.00 and we keep our thermostat at 76 degrees 24/7. The experience was a pleasure beginning with our presentation from Michelle, she was a pleasure to work with and followed us through the complete process. The install team was on time and did a fantastic job, keeping me informed during the process, Kevin the electrician arrived and also did a great job getting the system up and running. After researching several companies, who install solar panels, we decided on Freedom Solar, based on the better business bureau review, and the kind of panels to be installed. The kind of panels, we learned, are different. Freedom Solar works with the SunPower company. SunPower is an American based company, who makes their own panels and also manufactures a back up battery SunVault. SunPower’s panels have one of the highest conversion rates, that is conversion of photons into electrons, which is the most important in generating electricity.We consulted with, Nate Ferreira, from Freedom Solar, who carefully went through the process involved. He also explained that, both of us being in our 80ish, would be unlikely to fully recover the cost of the installation. We were however more motivated by the fact that our children and grandchildren would inherit a world where renewal energy resources will have to be the future. We are blessed to be financially able to make our small contribution to this effort. The total process from start to finish went smoothly and the final cost of our 6.6 kw solar panels with the several incentives and federal tax rebate came in under our expected cost.We are happy with the MySolar app, which let us monitor our individual 13 panels and electric production. Freedom Solar also pointed us to an organization in Texas, who will at no cost evaluate the several electricity providers in regard to which ones have a pay back program for the excess electricity generated and fed back into the grid.Overall we were very happy with Freedom Solar.Janet and Ben Oude Alink
