It was about a year ago when I finally had my solar panels and Tesla batteries installed at my house. The whole process took a while for me due to permits, HOA, and inspections, but overall, I was satisfied with the work done by the installation team. They kept me informed about their progress and, to my relief, passed all the inspections with no issues.

Review from a Denver resident. I had Freedom install 25 Sunpower solar panels in 2021 followed up by two Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries in 2024. No installation ever goes smooth and both had hiccups along the way. However, Freedom was very professional and treated me fairly along the way. (Installations were delayed due to panel availability in 2021 and PW3 delays in 2024.) Xcel had a great deal on the PW3 where they paid me $500 / kwh for the battery along with the state and federal tax breaks. I was worried that Xcel would not pay but that was not the case at all. Their rebate was prompt. Great deal. The batteries now take power from the panels and I'm almost grid free. Denver is a TOU plan so I do not have to pay for any electricity usage when it's expensive. Both systems work together seamlessly and the Tesla software keeps me up to date on the activity. Highly recommend Freedom.

I've had something for over a year now with a Tesla battery backup. I enjoy little to know electricity bills. The energy company I'm with gave me $100 credit and I have yet to use that up in over a year so I have not paid it an electricity bill in a year.

Quality installation. Quicker than the advertised timeline. And electrical production is better than the design plan! Hunter White was exceptional and guided me through every step of the design and execution.

Every step of the process went smoothly. The panel and battery installers arrived as scheduled and worked quickly and explained everything they did. Although it took 2 months to complete the project, it was still done about a month ahead of schedule. Brad Dette guided us throughout the process which made the wait much smoother.

Our system has been up and running about a month now with zero issues.

We just had a Tesla powerwall installed with a small PV system to keep it charged - Renee Rose has been a great resource throughout this project, always helping out when needed and even drove to the warehouse to secure our Tesla Powerwall when it was back ordered. I ended up choosing Freedom Solar for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the panels they offer are high quality with a good warranty period. Secondly, my consultant (Sam Cochran - EC in Houston) has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He made sure to answer every single question I had (and I had A LOT) to make sure I was satisfied before making a decision. He sent over numerous proposals which I had requested so I could compare all the different scenarios. He also did not try to oversell me and made sure that what I was getting was reasonable for my situation. I've had the system installed for about 2 years now and have not had any issues. Recently I decided to add a second battery and I reached out to Sam again for advice. As always, he was extremely helpful and truly went above and beyond to help me make the best decision.

So, probably like many of you I was nervous about solar. What happens if the installation causes a leak or am I really gonna be saving money or will I be throwing money away.

Renee not only answered these questions but gave my wife and I every single fact that comes with solar. She was professional and knowledgeable which made a huge difference for us compared to their competitors. Renee was able to show us how many solar panels we needed (no she didn’t upcharge us) and show how the solar would save us money. I would 10/10 recommend going with Freedom solar and requesting to work with Renee. She not only help with the sales part but also helped (and still helps) with any issues I face.

My wife and I worked with Zach to order a 15.4kW system in Austin, TX. The company were great to work with. We did lots of design changes to optimize production. The install crew were great. Zach is one of the best guys we've ever worked with. The quote from freedom beat every one else. We peaked in April with just over 100kWh in a day. In August best so far is 92kWh due to extreme heat. On an overcast day we still see around 25kWh. Only negative was the city permitting delays and city of austin billing scheme. There's no net zero in austin and you will be billed for electricity you produced/consume. Freedom solar have been great. Can't thank them enough.

So I went ahead and decided to reach back out to them to add batteries.(1 Tesla Powerwall 3 and 1 Tesla Expansion pack)

We love our backup power! When we lose our connection to the grid, which happens somewhat regularly, the switchover is so fast it's hardly noticeable. I do get a notice from the app. Depending on the conditions, I may adjust the thermostat and/or switch off the hot water heater, but in the worst case, we still get hours of power.

We have recently installed a solar power system from Freedom Solar on our home in Georgetown, TX. I had investigated three potential solar providers before settling on Freedom Solar. They weren't the least expensive, but they offered the most efficient system for the cost (based on panel and battery specifications).

Greg, the salesman, was effective in keeping us informed throughout the process.

Freedom Solar's installation efforts were outstanding: both the panel team and the electrician showed dedication to safety and efficiently. Brandon, the electrician, went out of his way to make sure the house electrical was left in better shape than when he arrived. At the end of the day for each effort, the garage and lawn areas were cleaned up and all evidence of the work (other than the final product) was removed.

We energized the system a day before high winds ripped through the area. The winds gave us an opportunity to see the backup capabilities in action as the local power utility suffered several short outages. The battery backup activated and kept the house powered, dealing with us using the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer (it was wash day). The apps on the phone showed the system was able to provide enough power to even resell excess.

Bradley Dette from Freedom Solar came out and gave me a quote for my solar panels, answered all of my questions, and gave me several package options. Very helpful, not pushy in his sales tactics at all, and extremely knowledgeable. I was very happy with their proposal for my home and am now in the process of getting my system installed. I started working with the Freedom Solar team in 2024, the hardest part of the process was simply waiting on our local utility provider to complete the permitting steps. The FS installation team and our sales rep Robert Bradshaw kept us well-informed throughout the project and made things extremely easy. We installed 27 panels using Freedom Solar. Their warranties beat out all other solar companies we received quotes from. The install process was easy and moved right along. They did a great job helping me understand the next steps regarding an appraisal district exemption, answering federal tax credit questions, and questions regarding updates to insurance policies.

Lastly, they use the best, most durable, and efficient panels on the market. Quality is what matters especially if you're going to install something with the intent for it last decades. I will use Freedom Solar again if I need an expansion to my system.

We love our backup power! When we lose our connection to the grid, which happens somewhat regularly, the switchover is so fast it's hardly noticeable. I do get a notice from the app. Depending on the conditions, I may adjust the thermostat and/or switch off the hot water heater, but in the worst case, we still get hours of power.

Freedom Solar installed our original 27 panels and 2 Tesla Gen 2 batteries. The system has functioned great. When a panel went bad, they replaced the inverter within a couple of months. We just got 3 more panels and 2 more batteries installed at a really decent price.

Freedom Solar kept me updated on project progress (some of the permits, upgrade to meter, etc take a long time). They came down and performed each step in the process on the day they said they would. They did a really nice job too.

I highly recommend them if you are looking for solar installation. I would buy from them again.

Freedom Solar was great from the beginning. They were not pushy and were willing to let me work through all the different ask and give critical input into the design of my system. From Vatrell at the beginning to the Solar Dream Team Installers, they were thorough and made sure I was informed the whole time. There was one issue with the design of the system as they were putting too much power into the panel box but got that quickly resolved and instead of lowering the Solar Panel Production they decreased the amount of power coming from the utility provider.

I wholeheartedly recommend Freedom Solar to anyone considering a solar panel system. I've had the system for 18+ months and it works as advertised. Jorge - my sales representative - is just fabulous. The initial installation involves coordination with a number of entities and Jorge coordinated everything for me. He also has helped me after the sale - as recently as today - helping me get the MySunPower app showing production at the individual panel level.

I chose Freedom Solar initially because they use SunPower panels which are very efficient. I was not happy with the original monitoring app, but it is much improved with the current version. Jorge is the man!

We have recently installed a solar power system from Freedom Solar on our home in Georgetown, TX. I had investigated three potential solar providers before settling on Freedom Solar. They weren't the least expensive, but they offered the most efficient system for the cost (based on panel and battery specifications).

Greg, the salesman, was effective in keeping us informed throughout the process.

Freedom Solar's installation efforts were outstanding: both the panel team and the electrician showed dedication to safety and efficiently. Brandon, the electrician, went out of his way to make sure the house electrical was left in better shape than when he arrived. At the end of the day for each effort, the garage and lawn areas were cleaned up and all evidence of the work (other than the final product) was removed.

We energized the system a day before high winds ripped through the area. The winds gave us an opportunity to see the backup capabilities in action as the local power utility suffered several short outages. The battery backup activated and kept the house powered, dealing with us using the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer (it was wash day). The apps on the phone showed the system was able to provide enough power to even resell excess.

The sales experience and information provided by Jason Cheatam was great. He thoroughly explained different panel options and finance options available that Freedom Solar offered. Very detailed and knowledgeable on the process from start to finish. The Panel installers and electrician were all very friendly and professional. Freedom took care of everything from permits to dealing with HOA. Great experience overall working with everyone.

I contacted Freedom Solar Power after having so many issues getting my house generator repaired. I initially bought my Generac generator from Generator Supercenter and, after several years, they completely let me down. After having a tornado and Hurricane Beryl hit my property leaving outages, plus a couple of other outages, I’ve been waiting for my generator to be repaired for 5 months.
I found that generator companies are too covered up to handle all of the repairs. Most of them are not taking on new clients either.
Freedom Solar Power set up an appointment immediately and Sam Cochran evaluated my property right away for solar panels. This company and Sam are very professional and I recommend them if you are looking to go solar as a power backup.

Due to a poor experience with our prior solar system on our California home, when we began working with Freedom Solar in Texas, I went through the contract and other documentation with a fine tooth comb, asking Brandon countless questions on the system, installation, support, maintenance, et al.. Brandon was patient throughout, either answering the question directly or taking the time to research and provide an accurate answer versus trying to answer the question without the required knowledge. We greatly appreciated this support, which later led to a smooth implementation. Brandon was very professional, putting our understanding and support as priority one.

Through his support, we have had a trouble-free system, and our last four power bills were only for the hookup fee. We were pleased with this since this included the EV charging and ensuring Tesla 3 storage was charged going into the evening hours.

We did our solar system consultation with Mr. Michael through ZOOM. The virtual meeting took about 1 1/2 hours. He answered most of our questions about the solar system at that time. He explained the process from telling us the differences of other companies vs Freedom including warranties of the solar panels, inverters and roof. The last topic covered was financial options. After our meeting with Michael, we met with other two solar companies and got quotes from 3 more. At the end of this journey, Michael and Freedom got to win our business for being local, upfront and informative.

Freedom Solar developed a cost effective design and then Crisjo worked with me to optimize it when detailed review showed an impact from a power line casting a shadow. Their installers were great the work was top notch. Crisjo reviewed their work and had turn fix anything he wasn't happy with. Then he helped research local energy plans that optimised cost. As the first year finishes, he once again is reviewing my bills and researching the best provider and plan. Excellent service that doesn't end when the panels are installed. Freedom Solar was thorough and timely in the completion of our first solar panel project 14 REC panels, Enphase IQ8 inverters and IQ Gateway/Combiner. The second solar panel installation (8 REC panels)was delayed by our HOA over the holidays, but Jason Cheatham from FS has stayed with the process and answered all our concerns. We are looking to complete phase two in the next week or so.

Vatrell our Sales Rep was great to work with. He explained that we didn’t even need a Tesla Powerwall battery, when Reps from other companies were pushing for multiple Powerwalls with our Solar setup. I appreciated Vatrell’s honesty and integrity during the sales presentation. We ran into problems with Oncor during the connection process of the installation, and our power was turned off for almost 24 hours and the installation team working through that with us. They even promised to get us reimbursed for the food that we lost when the power went down for a whole day. Not their fault but appreciated Freedom Solar Power for working through it to get it resolved.

Freedom Solar's Sunpower panels are worth the extra money. The panels are highly efficient. Their installation processes are well honed and their team is experienced. They connected effectively with the local utilities company.

With that said, their customer support staff can be overly reliant on their software, and not listen to the customer when there is a problem. Some of their customer support staff were amazing and some were infuriatingly resistant to understanding that an issue needed to be addressed.

In the end, the installation went in within 9 months from the signing of the contract.

Review from a Denver resident. I had Freedom install 25 Sunpower solar panels in 2021 followed up by two Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries in 2024. No installation ever goes smooth and both had hiccups along the way. However, Freedom was very professional and treated me fairly along the way. (Installations were delayed due to panel availability in 2021 and PW3 delays in 2024.) Xcel had a great deal on the PW3 where they paid me $500 / kwh for the battery along with the state and federal tax breaks. I was worried that Xcel would not pay but that was not the case at all. Their rebate was prompt. Great deal. The batteries now take power from the panels and I'm almost grid free. Denver is a TOU plan so I do not have to pay for any electricity usage when it's expensive. Both systems work together seamlessly and the Tesla software keeps me up to date on the activity. Highly recommend Freedom.

The initial price with a nice warranty helped me decide to choose over a few competitors, but the customer service sells itself. I received amazing onboarding to implementation guidance, the ebbs and flow with my detach/reattach. Most recently provided guidance with me purchasing my Powerwall and even helped me pick the best electric plan to help reduce my usage and properly plan for outages. There are many folks on the CS/Support side of the house over the years but the most recent name that comes to mind is Silvana Escalante because she helped me calibrate my Powerwall with my energy company for best utilization down to how to program the operational mode. The team lead by Andrew did an exceptional job. First they explained us every step to include how they were going to attach the panels to the roof(shingles) as we had some concerns with leaks in the future. The team was very professional and courteous, great Job!!!

Freedom Solar has been great with us. We had prior panels from a prior owner and the Freedom was able to see about upgrading our system. Renee Rose as our Energy Consultant has been amazing. Working tirelessly between CPS, our old company and getting our new system. She does her research and makes the experience personal for a client. Without Renee we may have never upgraded.

My wife and I worked with Zach to order a 15.4kW system in Austin, TX. The company were great to work with. We did lots of design changes to optimize production. The install crew were great. Zach is one of the best guys we've ever worked with. The quote from freedom beat every one else. We peaked in April with just over 100kWh in a day. In August best so far is 92kWh due to extreme heat. On an overcast day we still see around 25kWh. Only negative was the city permitting delays and city of austin billing scheme. There's no net zero in austin and you will be billed for electricity you produced/consume. Freedom solar have been great. Can't thank them enough.

I have had the pleasure of exchanging information with Vatrell Fountain over the past month, and I must say, he has been nothing short of exceptional. Vatrell is an epitome of humility, kindness, and helpfulness. His patience knows no bounds, and not once did he show any signs of frustration or resentment. Mr. Shane professionally explained to me everything I asked about solar power and backup batteries. He was honest and helped me to take my best course of action. He went far and beyond to educate me on related issues.

Freedom Solar installed our original 27 panels and 2 Tesla Gen 2 batteries. The system has functioned great. When a panel went bad, they replaced the inverter within a couple of months. We just got 3 more panels and 2 more batteries installed at a really decent price.

Freedom Solar kept me updated on project progress (some of the permits, upgrade to meter, etc take a long time). They came down and performed each step in the process on the day they said they would. They did a really nice job too.

I highly recommend them if you are looking for solar installation. I would buy from them again.

I’ve always wanted to get solar power for my home but wasn’t sure of the whole process. Steve and the crew at Freedom Solar Power did a wonderful job explaining in what order things had to be done and why! The panel install was efficient and clean; electrical box install was even quicker and the technician was very helpful in explaining how to monitor the system. When we finished up everything Steve made sure to go over the system with us and address any questions or concerns. I can’t say enough great things about this team!

Bradley Dette from Freedom Solar came out and gave me a quote for my solar panels, answered all of my questions, and gave me several package options. Very helpful, not pushy in his sales tactics at all, and extremely knowledgeable. I was very happy with their proposal for my home and am now in the process of getting my system installed. I didn’t close on the first offer he made, but when another opportunity came along he reached out immediately and we were able to get something done.
