In mid July of this year (2023) I wanted to get more serious about Solar Power. I contacted 4 Solar Power installation companies here in the central Texas area. I wanted to get a price quote to compare prices, assessments, installation and just to meet the reps to see how they sounded and how I felt about Solar after talking to them. One company was a "No Show" and another wanted to put panels on almost every piece of my roof and in doing so came up with a price that scared the c$$p out of me.... The other 2 were almost equal in first pass design, equipment required and what I felt was a understanding of my requirements and wishes ($$$). Both reps were great to talk to and both gave me time to think about they had to offer and for me to ask any additional questions. I talked to both companies again and in doing so, Freedom Solar Power, in my mind was very willing to continue to talk and figure out just what I needed and continued to keep me updated and with all the information they had to help me out. My sales rep for Freedom Solar Power, James Garbo, came back to again talk and help explain the advantages of using Freedom Solar Power... James knew that I was on the very edge of making a decision and I was almost ready to back off and gather more information on my own.... James continued to call and came back by my home to re discuss everything that we talked about. It was at this point I fully understood everything that he was telling me and at that point I decided to go with Freedom Solar Power and again with James help went with his design and pricing,The Site Assessment was provided within a week and I was again asked if I have any changes or wanted any additional information... with that, the design was submitted for approval with my power company and within 5 days the power company provided both myself and Freedom with the required approval.The panel installation was scheduled within 2 weeks and the install team very quickly had the hardware and panels up and mounted on the roof. The install team did find that one of my 14 panels would have to be re-located, so they marked up the install drawings and had me approve the change and completed the install.The first electrician arrived just before the panel installation was completed and within minutes the electrician was busy with wiring the external power and solar connections... everything went as planned.Talking to James just before the panel installation, I requested to add a Tesla PowerWall to my system, James quickly provided me with a quote and a projected install date... within a weekend, my design was updated and approvals submitted.After the PowerWall change was submitted, I again contacted James Garbo for a status update, within a days time he had the status answers.The Tesla PowerWall was installed and the system was now working, Freedom requested the final inspection from my power company and the power company completed the testing and approved the system without any question or concerns.Freedom and I started this project at the very end of July and activation and closeout was completed at the end of Sept. The overall customer care and support shown by Freedom has been fantastic and I'm extremely happy with my decision to have a Freedom Solar Power system up and running in my home.

Overall outstanding work from start to end! From the time I spoke with solar subject matter expert Tony who provided me the details about solar panels and comparison to other brands, there was no pressure to buy but focused on answering all my questions about solar power. When I decided to move forward with installing Freedom Solar Power panels, the whole team of experts moved quickly with the process to get my system ultimately on-line. The first part was to getting pictures and a video of my roof so ensure the best location for maximum sun exposure which was completed a week after signing the contract. Then a few days later, the designer sent drawings and called me to verify if the location of the solar panels and Tesla powerwall are acceptable which I agreed. They then sent me the documents to send to my HOA and in about a week I received the HOA approval for install. I sent this to Freedom Solar and a few days later they called me to schedule the installation of the solar panels, Tesla powerwall, and all the electrical connections to the power grid which was completed week later. Every step was executed according to what Tony had presented me and much to my surprise and excitement the whole process was completed way ahead of schedule! Tony had mentioned that the start to completion where the system is fully operational and connected to the electric grid could be 4 to 6 months because of many variables such as; weather, HOA approval, inspection by city/county for electrical installation, approval by electrical company to allow solar system on the grid, etc. But like I stated, everything went pretty smooth with minor installation hickups but Freedom Solar took care of all the issues timely! From start to finish, my Freedom Solar system was up, producing electricity, and on the grid all in 3 months! I will say that this may not be the case for other previous installations and even for future installations. I just want to point out in this review how pleased I am with Freedom Solar Power's professionalism and customer service to make the installation of the solar system move through the process as quick as possible and begin saving you money on your electric bill! I highly recommend Freedom Solar Power for their proven solar product, installation process, and their excellent customer service! After researching several companies, who install solar panels, we decided on Freedom Solar, based on the better business bureau review, and the kind of panels to be installed. The kind of panels, we learned, are different. Freedom Solar works with the SunPower company. SunPower is an American based company, who makes their own panels and also manufactures a back up battery SunVault. SunPower’s panels have one of the highest conversion rates, that is conversion of photons into electrons, which is the most important in generating electricity.We consulted with, Nate Ferreira, from Freedom Solar, who carefully went through the process involved. He also explained that, both of us being in our 80ish, would be unlikely to fully recover the cost of the installation. We were however more motivated by the fact that our children and grandchildren would inherit a world where renewal energy resources will have to be the future. We are blessed to be financially able to make our small contribution to this effort. The total process from start to finish went smoothly and the final cost of our 6.6 kw solar panels with the several incentives and federal tax rebate came in under our expected cost.We are happy with the MySolar app, which let us monitor our individual 13 panels and electric production. Freedom Solar also pointed us to an organization in Texas, who will at no cost evaluate the several electricity providers in regard to which ones have a pay back program for the excess electricity generated and fed back into the grid.Overall we were very happy with Freedom Solar.Janet and Ben Oude Alink

We met with our representative (Gene) in April, after looking into several other companies. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions (we had a lot), and explained the advantages of their system over their competitors'. We took a couple days to run numbers on a few different scenarios and ensure we were making the best decision for our home. Along the way, Gene was available at all hours to answer additional questions via phone and text.For those shopping around, yes, Freedom Solar charged a bit of a premium versus other companies, but the peace of mind we got from the higher quality panels, microinverters, the warranty, and the production guarantee more than made up for it.We got all our permitting done relatively quickly, and had our system installed, approved by the city and Centerpoint, and generating exactly 2 months after our first meeting (which was honestly quicker than expected, but Freedom stayed on top of all the paperwork and permitting throughout the whole process, which helped move things along).
