November will mark 2 years since the installation, and I have had no issues with the system. I've gone over 8 months without an electric bill. Even though I had to pay for electricity during the summer months, the bills were below $40 each. I have a Tesla battery with the system, and during power outages, it has kept the lights on and everything working. During Hurricane Beryl, the power was down for 15 hours, and ran the entire day.One recommendation: do your research. My friend went with a company that was not professional, and his Permission to Operate (PTO) took over 6 months, with many repeat visits to correct deficiencies. My installation took just one day, and PTO was approved within 1 week. There were no issues with the install, and the equipment has worked flawlessly. Haley Rosen was my sales representative and did a great job walking me through the process.

I contacted Freedom Solar Power after having so many issues getting my house generator repaired. I initially bought my Generac generator from Generator Supercenter and, after several years, they completely let me down. After having a tornado and Hurricane Beryl hit my property leaving outages, plus a couple of other outages, I’ve been waiting for my generator to be repaired for 5 months.I found that generator companies are too covered up to handle all of the repairs. Most of them are not taking on new clients either.Freedom Solar Power set up an appointment immediately and Sam Cochran evaluated my property right away for solar panels. I was especially pleased when my initial call was answered by Mr. Vatrall Fountain, one of their sales agents, who promptly scheduled a video call to explain everything.During the one-hour meeting, Mr. Fountain was thorough and detailed. He covered all aspects of the project, including timelines, leaving no questions unanswered. What I appreciated most was that there were no excessive follow-up phone calls; all communications were done via text, and only when necessary.The team kept me informed about the status of city approvals and the scheduled installation date. Joe came out and answered every question from A-Z and was personable and pleasant the entire time. He verified the system was operating correctly, even though that is not what he came out for.

Vatrell was the EC for my solar project. I had done a lot of research prior to contacting Freedom Solar. I can’t think of a single question I had that wasn’t answered before I even asked it. I knew that I wanted a system that offered adequate battery backup to get me through any power outage and Vatrell was able to put a system together that will give me power to sell and store. He has been walking me through the entire process and always calls me back within minutes of any call or text. The company has been very fast with their process. After the contract was signed, it only took about two weeks to get the project signed off by the city and all of the panels were installed just a couple of days later. The Jetstar crew installed the 23 panels in about 3 hours. They cleaned up everything and we’re so professional and polite. Their crew leader was so sweet and got the job done without a single hiccup. There are still a few steps to complete before the project is finished but I am very impressed with Vatrell and the entire Freedom Solar crew. I’m so happy I chose them to be my solar power provider.

Freedom Solar developed a cost effective design and then Crisjo worked with me to optimize it when detailed review showed an impact from a power line casting a shadow. Their installers were great the work was top notch. Crisjo reviewed their work and had turn fix anything he wasn't happy with. Then he helped research local energy plans that optimised cost. As the first year finishes, he once again is reviewing my bills and researching the best provider and plan. Excellent service that doesn't end when the panels are installed. Shane and his team were great! Shane was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions when it came to solar. He was also very patient with me as we went back & forth a lot on design and how much energy I actually needed produced and still have it be in my price range. Once we got to a point where everything looked good the rest of the team was great. They came out and installed the system and did it in such a short amount of time that it was unbelievable. I ended up choosing Freedom Solar for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the panels they offer are high quality with a good warranty period. Secondly, my consultant (Sam Cochran - EC in Houston) has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He made sure to answer every single question I had (and I had A LOT) to make sure I was satisfied before making a decision. He sent over numerous proposals which I had requested so I could compare all the different scenarios. He also did not try to oversell me and made sure that what I was getting was reasonable for my situation. I've had the system installed for about 2 years now and have not had any issues. Well when it comes to salespeople typically they’ll do whatever it takes to make the sale. A sales representative from a solar company was willing to sale me whatever I wanted for me to run 100% solar power in my home, but failed to mention anything about me producing more electricity then I could use would be sold back to Pedernales Electric for way less then what I pay per watts. Basically screwing myself over and not to mention after 5 years any warranty issues or problems would be handled by a 3rd party!Luckily I decided to wait and see what other companies were available and I was introduced to Spencer Sobolik. He was very knowledgeable of the company’s product and was able to answer any questions or concerns we had before making our decision. Mr. Sobolik actually was the person who informed me about what happened if I did produce extra electricity and how it works with my electric company. I was still hesitant about buying any solar panels and he simply said for me to wait and later provide him with some of my electric bills and he could then come up with a effective solution to balance out my electric needs with how many panels I would need for this purchase to be cost effective for my home.Mr. Sobolik never came off strong trying to sale me more then what was needed and even helped me to understand how everything works with producing electricity and having Pedernales purchase the excess that was produced. Also makes a big difference when your solar company is the only company you have to deal with when you have any issues with your solar panels!I highly recommended Spencer Sobolik to my neighbors and friends because he’s honest and cares about his clients.

I had Freedom install solar panels on my roof about 2 years, almost 3 years ago when I bought my house. I can't tell you how easy they made it! The gentleman in charge, Spencer Sobolik, made everything very logical and smooth. I asked all the questions I could think of and ended up being confident in their service. I've loved having the app on my phone where I can see at any time how the system is doing, how much electricity it's making and selling, or needing from the local electric company. I'm not one to write lots of reviews, but I've had this system for a few years and had not one problem. It's saved me a bunch of money, and now I don't hesitate to turn the AC on during the summer, because I know solar power is paying the bill. I have to give a 5 star review to this company and specifically their sales rep Crisjo Jaimon - out of all of the solar companies I met with, this was the only one that was honest with me about my house not being fit for solar. Crisjo was very honest about what made sense for my home and didn’t try to sell me any empty promises. If he could not directly answer our questions, he found someone who could. The installation/service team was great as well. They did an excellent job with the installation, and answered all our questions. We have had our Freedom Solar's system for almost 2 years, and have been so happy that we purchased another Tesla battery from Vatrell. The results have been great and we couldn't be happier, we have lower electric bills and we have had power outages that didn't affect us at all! I wholeheartedly recommend Freedom Solar to anyone considering a solar panel system. I've had the system for 18+ months and it works as advertised. Jorge - my sales representative - is just fabulous. The initial installation involves coordination with a number of entities and Jorge coordinated everything for me. He also has helped me after the sale - as recently as today - helping me get the MySunPower app showing production at the individual panel level.I chose Freedom Solar initially because they use SunPower panels which are very efficient. I was not happy with the original monitoring app, but it is much improved with the current version. Jorge is the man!

Crisjo Jaimon has really gone above and beyond with helping me with my solar panels. From fitting me in last minute and getting me signed up to getting someone out asap to finish commissioning the battery. He has replied and kept up great communication. We did our solar system consultation with Mr. Michael through ZOOM. The virtual meeting took about 1 1/2 hours. He answered most of our questions about the solar system at that time. He explained the process from telling us the differences of other companies vs Freedom including warranties of the solar panels, inverters and roof. The last topic covered was financial options. After our meeting with Michael, we met with other two solar companies and got quotes from 3 more. At the end of this journey, Michael and Freedom got to win our business for being local, upfront and informative.

Freedom Solar's Sunpower panels are worth the extra money. The panels are highly efficient. Their installation processes are well honed and their team is experienced. They connected effectively with the local utilities company.With that said, their customer support staff can be overly reliant on their software, and not listen to the customer when there is a problem. Some of their customer support staff were amazing and some were infuriatingly resistant to understanding that an issue needed to be addressed.In the end, the installation went in within 9 months from the signing of the contract.

We decided to get a solar system after purchasing a home in Austin. We went with Freedom Solar Power. We did have some issues with install and those were professionally addressed by our representative Brad Dette, and repaired through the company.

We had Freedom Solar install solar panels initially a few years ago and this week we added four panels and retrofitted the system with a Tesla Powerwall 3. The process from sales to design to approvals and installation was so smooth. No stress. Well when it comes to salespeople typically they’ll do whatever it takes to make the sale. A sales representative from a solar company was willing to sale me whatever I wanted for me to run 100% solar power in my home, but failed to mention anything about me producing more electricity then I could use would be sold back to Pedernales Electric for way less then what I pay per watts. Basically screwing myself over and not to mention after 5 years any warranty issues or problems would be handled by a 3rd party!Luckily I decided to wait and see what other companies were available and I was introduced to Spencer Sobolik. He was very knowledgeable of the company’s product and was able to answer any questions or concerns we had before making our decision. Mr. Sobolik actually was the person who informed me about what happened if I did produce extra electricity and how it works with my electric company. I was still hesitant about buying any solar panels and he simply said for me to wait and later provide him with some of my electric bills and he could then come up with a effective solution to balance out my electric needs with how many panels I would need for this purchase to be cost effective for my home.Mr. Sobolik never came off strong trying to sale me more then what was needed and even helped me to understand how everything works with producing electricity and having Pedernales purchase the excess that was produced. Also makes a big difference when your solar company is the only company you have to deal with when you have any issues with your solar panels!I highly recommended Spencer Sobolik to my neighbors and friends because he’s honest and cares about his clients.

I had a PV system, Freedom installed a Tesla Powerwall 3 for us. Their install app kept us well advised on the process, it was easy to see the project move thru different steps. I will use this company again in the future.

Brad Dette made the sales, purchase, and installation process super painless. System is operating completely as expected and exceeding the forecast power generation estimates. I’ve dealt with a different major solar installer at a previous home that was behind timeline on installation, system never functioned correctly for more than a month at a time, and power generation was less than promised, so this experience with freedom has restored my faith. He's knowledgeable, responsive, a very effective communicator, and an excellent "customer success manager."

The solar experience with Renee Rose was excellent. We had a house generator system which introduced technical challenges but were all satisfied with expedience and professionalism. Solar has made a difference in our energy strategy with less that 50% dependence on the grid. As we will be expanding our solar system in the future we will certainly give Renee a call.

My plan is/was to find a way to be somewhat more electricity independent within a city city limit. Freedom Solar has helped me achieving the goal. Spencer Sobolik , an extra-ordinary consultant had helped me finished two projects with solar panels and Tesla Power walls. I had Freedom install solar panels on my roof about 2 years, almost 3 years ago when I bought my house. I can't tell you how easy they made it! The gentleman in charge, Spencer Sobolik, made everything very logical and smooth. I asked all the questions I could think of and ended up being confident in their service. I've loved having the app on my phone where I can see at any time how the system is doing, how much electricity it's making and selling, or needing from the local electric company. I'm not one to write lots of reviews, but I've had this system for a few years and had not one problem. It's saved me a bunch of money, and now I don't hesitate to turn the AC on during the summer, because I know solar power is paying the bill. Spencer was a great part of my decision, his customer service was excellent. Thank you Freedom and thank you Spencer!! 😄

He sat down several different times with us and helped us understand the panels, the warranty, the rebates, the expected cost and multiple other questions we had.Once we decided, the installation went smoothly and all the rebates worked as expected.We have been very pleased.
