We just had a Tesla powerwall installed with a small PV system to keep it charged - Renee Rose has been a great resource throughout this project, always helping out when needed and even drove to the warehouse to secure our Tesla Powerwall when it was back ordered. So far this is a great experience.

Freedom Solar is the local installer for Sunpower here in TX. Silvana is my solar power provider representative. She is very professional and just state the fact instead of sale pitch. She was with us through out the whole process from start to finish. She even responded to my inquiry while she is out of town. She volunteered to help us set up the app to maximize our savings with our new solar panels. November will mark 2 years since the installation, and I have had no issues with the system. I've gone over 8 months without an electric bill. Even though I had to pay for electricity during the summer months, the bills were below $40 each. I have a Tesla battery with the system, and during power outages, it has kept the lights on and everything working. During Hurricane Beryl, the power was down for 15 hours, and ran the entire day.One recommendation: do your research. My friend went with a company that was not professional, and his Permission to Operate (PTO) took over 6 months, with many repeat visits to correct deficiencies. My installation took just one day, and PTO was approved within 1 week. There were no issues with the install, and the equipment has worked flawlessly. Haley Rosen was my sales representative and did a great job walking me through the process.

He took the time to thoroughly explain my power usage and tailored the system to meet my specific needs. Freedom Solar's Sunpower panels are worth the extra money. The panels are highly efficient. Their installation processes are well honed and their team is experienced. They connected effectively with the local utilities company.With that said, their customer support staff can be overly reliant on their software, and not listen to the customer when there is a problem. Some of their customer support staff were amazing and some were infuriatingly resistant to understanding that an issue needed to be addressed.In the end, the installation went in within 9 months from the signing of the contract.

I ended up choosing Freedom Solar for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the panels they offer are high quality with a good warranty period. Secondly, my consultant (Sam Cochran - EC in Houston) has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He made sure to answer every single question I had (and I had A LOT) to make sure I was satisfied before making a decision. He sent over numerous proposals which I had requested so I could compare all the different scenarios. He also did not try to oversell me and made sure that what I was getting was reasonable for my situation. I've had the system installed for about 2 years now and have not had any issues. Recently I decided to add a second battery and I reached out to Sam again for advice. As always, he was extremely helpful and truly went above and beyond to help me make the best decision.

Vatrell was the EC for my solar project. I had done a lot of research prior to contacting Freedom Solar. I can’t think of a single question I had that wasn’t answered before I even asked it. I knew that I wanted a system that offered adequate battery backup to get me through any power outage and Vatrell was able to put a system together that will give me power to sell and store. He has been walking me through the entire process and always calls me back within minutes of any call or text. The company has been very fast with their process. After the contract was signed, it only took about two weeks to get the project signed off by the city and all of the panels were installed just a couple of days later. The Jetstar crew installed the 23 panels in about 3 hours. They cleaned up everything and we’re so professional and polite. Their crew leader was so sweet and got the job done without a single hiccup. There are still a few steps to complete before the project is finished but I am very impressed with Vatrell and the entire Freedom Solar crew. I’m so happy I chose them to be my solar power provider.

It's hard to find a passionate, knowledgeable representative these days, but Sam Cochran at Freedom Solar Power is a young man of integrity. We worked together to exhaustively look at all my options. He worked to EARN my business. I was impressed - and I've been a marketing director for many years. Well when it comes to salespeople typically they’ll do whatever it takes to make the sale. A sales representative from a solar company was willing to sale me whatever I wanted for me to run 100% solar power in my home, but failed to mention anything about me producing more electricity then I could use would be sold back to Pedernales Electric for way less then what I pay per watts. Basically screwing myself over and not to mention after 5 years any warranty issues or problems would be handled by a 3rd party!Luckily I decided to wait and see what other companies were available and I was introduced to Spencer Sobolik. He was very knowledgeable of the company’s product and was able to answer any questions or concerns we had before making our decision. Mr. Sobolik actually was the person who informed me about what happened if I did produce extra electricity and how it works with my electric company. I was still hesitant about buying any solar panels and he simply said for me to wait and later provide him with some of my electric bills and he could then come up with a effective solution to balance out my electric needs with how many panels I would need for this purchase to be cost effective for my home.Mr. Sobolik never came off strong trying to sale me more then what was needed and even helped me to understand how everything works with producing electricity and having Pedernales purchase the excess that was produced. Also makes a big difference when your solar company is the only company you have to deal with when you have any issues with your solar panels!I highly recommended Spencer Sobolik to my neighbors and friends because he’s honest and cares about his clients.

Having gone without power for several hours each day during the rolling blackouts during the great ice storm of 2021, I contracted with Freedom Solar in the fall of 2021 for a solar panel system with the Tesla Powerwall for my Sun City Texas home. System was installed in the spring of 2022 just in time for the rolling blackouts that summer brought. I can only say how happy I am that I did. I've had Freedom Solar for over a year now, and have no regrets. We even threw a block solar party with our energy consultant Renee Rose. Renee was super positive and easy to work with. The Solar Dream Team came by knocked the job of 34 420w panels out in about 5 hrs I work nights and I didn’t even know they were on the roof slept well once they were done I checked the work looks great.

After WInter Storm Uri, we again contacted Shane Hertig to complete our install with two Tesla Powerwalls. They completed the installation, managed the interface with our power company, and always presented a well-informed and professional experience. Since the instillation, activation, and commissioning of our system with twin Tesla Powerwalls, we have been off-grid (zero kWH consumed) for many months. We had Freedom Solar install solar panels initially a few years ago and this week we added four panels and retrofitted the system with a Tesla Powerwall 3. The process from sales to design to approvals and installation was so smooth. No stress. The process from the initial meeting to the installation was much quicker than I expected (less than 2 months) and each step of the process was clearly communicated to me. They handled the majority of the legwork contract-wise, and I actually ended up having very little work to do. Having Mike Carey as my energy consultant to walk me through the process, answer my questions, and coordinate all of the logistics was incredibly helpful. He made me feel secure in my decision making and he was fully transparent with the financials and solar utilization. I had spoken with multiple other companies before Freedom Solar, and it wasn't until talking with Mike that I felt like I was speaking with someone who actually was trying to help me out instead of line their own pockets. I contacted Freedom Solar Power after having so many issues getting my house generator repaired. I initially bought my Generac generator from Generator Supercenter and, after several years, they completely let me down. After having a tornado and Hurricane Beryl hit my property leaving outages, plus a couple of other outages, I’ve been waiting for my generator to be repaired for 5 months.I found that generator companies are too covered up to handle all of the repairs. Most of them are not taking on new clients either.Freedom Solar Power set up an appointment immediately and Sam Cochran evaluated my property right away for solar panels. Large 38KWh install went well. no problems

We did our solar system consultation with Mr. Michael through ZOOM. The virtual meeting took about 1 1/2 hours. He answered most of our questions about the solar system at that time. He explained the process from telling us the differences of other companies vs Freedom including warranties of the solar panels, inverters and roof. The last topic covered was financial options. After our meeting with Michael, we met with other two solar companies and got quotes from 3 more. At the end of this journey, Michael and Freedom got to win our business for being local, upfront and informative.

Renee sold me my Freedom Solar Panel System and we are 75% complete with it and scheduled for completion on Sept 19, 2024. Well when it comes to salespeople typically they’ll do whatever it takes to make the sale. A sales representative from a solar company was willing to sale me whatever I wanted for me to run 100% solar power in my home, but failed to mention anything about me producing more electricity then I could use would be sold back to Pedernales Electric for way less then what I pay per watts. Basically screwing myself over and not to mention after 5 years any warranty issues or problems would be handled by a 3rd party!Luckily I decided to wait and see what other companies were available and I was introduced to Spencer Sobolik. He was very knowledgeable of the company’s product and was able to answer any questions or concerns we had before making our decision. Mr. Sobolik actually was the person who informed me about what happened if I did produce extra electricity and how it works with my electric company. I was still hesitant about buying any solar panels and he simply said for me to wait and later provide him with some of my electric bills and he could then come up with a effective solution to balance out my electric needs with how many panels I would need for this purchase to be cost effective for my home.Mr. Sobolik never came off strong trying to sale me more then what was needed and even helped me to understand how everything works with producing electricity and having Pedernales purchase the excess that was produced. Also makes a big difference when your solar company is the only company you have to deal with when you have any issues with your solar panels!I highly recommended Spencer Sobolik to my neighbors and friends because he’s honest and cares about his clients.

Investing in Solar from Freedom Solar was a smooth process. Spencer Sobilik was very easy to work with and was responsive to our questions. Once we made the decision to purchase things went as smooth as expected Siri g a tome when COVID and supply chain shortages. The work was done professionally and they were all easy to work with.
